The company began as a subcontractor of other EPCC contractors for residential solar PV projects in 2012. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shortly after, in 2013, it had secured projects to install bigger solar PV systems on industrial and commercial buildings. In 2017, it has ventured into LSSPV projects. By 2019, the company has handed over 232 MWp of solar PV systems to its clients, mostly in Northern Part of Malaysia. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its total amount of installed capacities completed by Solarvest since 2012 is as follows:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.19.17-PM.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7433 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.19.17-PM-300x70.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"754\" height=\"176\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><b>#2: Financial Results <\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Evidently, Solarvest has achieved substantial growth in revenue in financial year (FY) 2019 to RM 112.2 million. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is attributable to additional revenues from a series of LSSPV projects undertaken by Solarvest starting in FY 2018. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hence, the company had increased its shareholders\u2019 earnings from RM 4.15 million in 2016 to RM 11.12 million in 2019 &#8211; a whooping 267% jump!<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.20.05-PM.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7434 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.20.05-PM-300x104.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"672\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><b>#3: Balance Sheet Strength <\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Solarvest has lowered its gearing ratio from 186% in 2016 to 62% in 2019 as the company has substantially increased its total equity by retaining its earnings for the last three years. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, Solarvest has substantially increased its cash balances by bringing in positive operating cash flows. Its <em>cash and cash equivalents<\/em> increased from <em>-ve <\/em>RM 31 thousand in 2016 to RM 12.85 million in 2019 f.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.20.18-PM.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7435 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.20.18-PM-300x121.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"664\" height=\"268\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><b>#4: IPO Proceeds\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Solarvest intends to raise RM 34.6 million in gross proceeds, where it intends to utilise it for the following purposes: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.23.42-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7437 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.23.42-PM-300x159.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"609\" height=\"323\" \/><\/a><b><\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>1. Business Expansion (RM 3.0 million)<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It had allocated RM 0.7 million and RM 2.3 million to expand to South Malaysia and overseas market namely, Vietnam and Taiwan. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, the RM 0.7 million will be used to recruit staff and set up an office and service centre in Johor to serve customers located in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Second, the overseas expansion of RM 2.3 million is intended to be capital for joint ventures to be set up to tender and undertake solar PV projects in Vietnam and Taiwan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>2. Capital Expenditures (RM 4.0 million)\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This includes its purchase of project machinery and equipment and an upgrade of its IT software, hardware and office equipment to undertake commercial and industrial solar PV projects and LSSPV projects. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its full breakdown is as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.36.20-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7447 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.36.20-PM-154x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"520\" height=\"1013\" \/><\/a><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>3. Working Capital (RM 19.2 million)\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This includes preparation of tender deposit, on-site expenses for LSSPV projects and purchasing of raw materials for its EPCC services. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The full breakdown of the budgeted working capital is as follows: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.33.55-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7446 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.33.55-PM-300x275.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"535\" height=\"490\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>4. Repayment of Bank Borrowings (RM 5.0 million)\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This would result in a cost saving of RM 0.40 million a year based on its existing interest rate of 7.5% for its term loan and 8.2% for its bank overdraft and trade facilities per annum.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>5. Estimated Listing Expenses (RM 3.4 million)\u00a0<\/b><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>#5: Management\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.29.10-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7442 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.29.10-PM-300x116.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"613\" height=\"237\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Atlantic Blue Holdings Sdn Bhd (AB Holdings) and Chin Hin Group Bhd would be substantial shareholders of Solarvest with 41.1% and 33.6% shareholdings after its listing on Bursa Malaysia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>AB Holdings <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lim Chin Siu and Tan Chyi Boon are substantial shareholders of Solarvest as the two would hold their interest with AB Holdings. Lim is the Managing Director of the company while Tan is appointed as its Executive Director.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Chin Hin Group Bhd<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chiau Haw Choon sits in the board as a non-executive director. Chiau is listed as a major shareholder with his interest in Chin Hin Group Bhd.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>#6: Future Prospects<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As at 31 August 2019, Solarvest has accumulated an unbilled order book worth RM 200.1 million which would keep them busy up till FY 2021. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bigger solar projects are as follows:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.31.31-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7444 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.31.31-PM-229x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><b>#7: Risks\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Solarvest is subjected to the concentration risk of customers and suppliers for it derived 68.6% of its total sales in 2019 from its five biggest clients and 65.5% of its purchases made were from its five largest suppliers in 2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are as follows:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.31.05-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7445 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smallcapasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Screen-Shot-2019-10-02-at-3.31.05-PM-296x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"540\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><b>#8: Valuation<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At IPO price of RM 0.35, Solarvest\u2019s offer is at a P\/E Ratio of 12.50 and P\/B Ratio of 2.19 based on its EPS of 2.8 sen and net assets a share of RM 0.16. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presently, Solarvest does not adopt a fixed dividend policy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Conclusion<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Solarvest has achieved substantial growth as it undertakes more LSSPV projects starting in FY 2018. This resulted in an impressive growth in its earnings. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presently, Solarvest\u2019s unbilled order book stands at RM 200.1 million where most of them consists of three large LSSPV projects stated in Point 6. Its future financial results depends greatly on the management\u2019s ability to secure new LSSPV projects in the future. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In my opinion, Solarvest has a consistent track record of the increased delivery of the solar PV systems over the past years.
